At its meeting on 4 sep 2013 MERC (Medieval Europe Research Committee) resolved to integrate fully with EAA (Europe Association of Archaeologists), follow its procedures and have a resence at its conference every year. We are now gearing up for Istanbul, where we are hoping for lots of sessions on the first and second millennia AD. MERC FORMED
The Medieval Europe Research Congress was successfuly recreated at Heksinki. The congress (held at York in 1992, Brugges in 1997, Basel in 2002 and Paris in 2007) will be held from now on as an integrated part of the EAA Conference. Next one is at Pilzen in 2013.
