
A multi-author monograph presenting the discoveries and interpretations made at Castronovo di Sicilia and its environs in central Sicily, relating to the Byzantine, Islamic, Norman and Swabian periods 550-1250. The data was won from surface and drone surveys, test excavation and area excavations during 6 seasons in the field and 4 years of analysis at the unjversities of Rome Torvergata, Salento at Lecce and York UK. Written and illustrated by 33 contributors on field work and a rich assemblage of early medieval artefacts, animals and plants. In Italian and English.
